WHO can join: 3rd - 6th Graders are welcome to join

WHEN do we practice: We meet on Friday mornings from 7:45-8:20 am

Beginning Friday September 6, 2024

Rehearsal dates

2024: ~~9/6, 9/13, 9/27, 10/4, 10/25, 11/1, 11/8, 11/15, 11/22~~

2025: 1/10, 1/24, 1/31, 2/7, 2/21, 2/28, 3/7
Attendance is required and is very important to the success of our choir. Students with more than 2 unexcused absences will not be allowed to continue to participate.

Arrive on time, Ready to start at 7:45!! Do not arrive early - there will be no supervision.

(If school is canceled or delayed due to bad weather, rehearsal will be canceled)

~~September 21, 2024 (9:00am arrival) - 1:00pm DCHS Feeder Festival @ DCHS~~

~~December 5, 2024~~ ~~(6:30pm arrival) - 7:00 pm Winter Concert @ RRE December 6, 2024 (8:45am arrival) - 9:00 am Students only! Winter Assembly~~

March 6, 2025 (6:30pm arrival) - 7:00 pm Spring Concert @ RRE
March 7, 2025 (8:30am arrival) - 8:45 am Students only! Spring Assembly

To join our choir, please bring your permission slip to the Music room by Friday, September 6th. Thank you and I am looking forward to a great year!

Outside Agencies

Complaints regarding violations of Title VI, (race, national origin), Title IX (sex, gender), Section 504/ADA (handicap or disability), may be filed directly with the Office for Civil Rights, U.S. Department of Education, 1244 North Speer Blvd., Suite 310, Denver, CO 80204. Complaints regarding violations of Title VII (employment) and the ADEA (prohibiting age discrimination in employment) may be filed directly with the Federal Office of Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, 303 E. 17th Ave., Suite 510, Denver, CO 80202, or the Colorado Civil Rights Commission, 1560 Broadway, Suite 1050, Denver, CO 80202.

NOTICE OF DESTRUCTION OF SPECIAL EDUCATION RECORDS

Special Education records which have been collected by Douglas County School District related to the identification, evaluation, educational placement, or the provision of special education in the district, must be maintained under state and federal laws for the period of five (5) years after special education services have ended for the student. Special education services end when the student is no longer eligible for services, graduates, or completes his/her educational program at age 21, or moves from the district. This notification is to inform parents/guardians and former students of Douglas County School District's intent to destroy the special education records of students who exited special education services as of June 30, 2016. These records will be destroyed in accordance with state law unless the parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student notifies the school district otherwise. After five years, the records are no longer useful to the district, but may be useful to the parent/guardian or former student in applying for social security benefits, rehabilitation services, college entrance, etc. The parent/guardian or eligible (adult) student may request a copy of the records by requesting the records at this link ( Douglas County School District Transcripts and Records Requests ).
