Watch
D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a father involvement program of
the National Center For Fathering (NCF). The two main objectives of
Watch D.O.G.S. are to provide positive male role models for our students
and enhance school security. This innovative program is being used by
schools across America to provide an opportunity for fathers and
father-figures to make a positive difference in their students’ lives at
school.
Dads, granddads, uncles, step-dads and adult brothers….this
is your chance to spend a day (half a day, or even during lunch and
recess) at your student’s school. You will have an opportunity to spend
time at the crosswalks in the morning, patrol hallways, parking lot,
building and perimeter, spend time in their classroom, help out with
recess and get the chance to have lunch with your student. We will
prepare a customized schedule for you and have an orientation when you
first get to school.
Please contact Mr. Minor at [email protected] if you would like more information about WATCH D.O.G.S. or would like to volunteer.
