Dear Rock Ridge Families,

As we approach the end of another incredible school year, we want to take a moment to reflect on the achievements and growth of our students, and express our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you for your continued support.

This year has been filled with countless memorable moments, both big and small. From the excitement of the first day of school to the joy of seeing our students excel in their academic, artistic, and athletic endeavors, we have been privileged to witness the remarkable journey of each child in our care.

Academically, our students have shown remarkable progress, demonstrating a deep understanding of core subjects and a thirst for knowledge that inspires us all. Whether it's mastering multiplication tables, exploring the wonders of science, or delving into the rich tapestry of history, our students have embraced learning with enthusiasm and dedication.

But education is about more than just academics—it's also about character development and personal growth. We are proud to see our students exemplify qualities such as kindness, empathy, resilience, and leadership each and every day. These are the qualities that will serve them well not just in school, but throughout their lives.

Of course, none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of our parents and the wider community. Your involvement is truly invaluable. Together, we are creating a nurturing and supportive environment where every child can thrive.

As we look ahead to the next school year, we are filled with excitement and anticipation for all the possibilities that lie ahead. We remain committed to providing the highest quality education for our students and to partnering with you to ensure their success.

In closing, I want to share some celebrations. 1st, as we bid farewell to one of our beloved educators, Ms. Borot, who is retiring after 26 years of dedicated service to our school community, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for her tireless commitment to our students' education and well-being. Ms. Borot has touched the lives of countless students over the years, instilling in them a love of learning and a belief in their own abilities. Her passion, dedication, and kindness have left an indelible mark on our school, and while she will be deeply missed, her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of all those she has taught.

Next, congratulations to Brecken Stack, a 5th-grade student, who took 3rd place at the district art contest. Brecken’s talent, creativity, and dedication to his craft are truly commendable, and we are incredibly proud of his achievement. We would also like to recognize and thank his art teacher, Ms. Daniels, for her guidance, support, and encouragement in nurturing Brecken’s artistic talents.

And finally, we are thrilled to give a
huge shout out to our school counselor, Ms. McKnight, for the successful implementation of the Essential Level 2 Program at Rock Ridge Elementary. Ms. McKnight’s dedication, expertise, and compassion have made a significant impact on the well-being, academic success and social/emotional learning of our students. Her commitment to providing essential support services ensures that every child has the opportunity to thrive both academically and emotionally.

Wishing you all a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to seeing you refreshed and ready for another fantastic school year in the
fall!

Have a great end of year and summer break!

Sincerely,
Peter Mosby, Principal
