Mrs. Shoemaker

Hi, my name is Mrs. Shoemaker, I am so excited about the 2018-2019 school year!  This is my 7th year on the first grade team at Rock Ridge Elementary. 

I received my bachelor's from Western Illinois University with a degree in Elementary Education, Bilingual Education and Spanish.  I taught first grade bilingual in Dallas, Texas y por eso ¡hablo español! The 2018-2019 school year is my seventeenth year teaching 1st grade.

I enjoy going to the beach, skiing, hiking, biking, fishing and especially reading!  I have two children of my own in Douglas County Schools.
