Dear Rock Ridge Community:

I hope this letter finds you well as we approach Halloween and our annual Monster Mash celebration which will be held on October 27th from 5-7pm. You can also find this and other events on the website calendar. Speaking of the website, we are about to launch our new website and school APP shortly, hopefully sometime this month. Please feel free to share your feedback so that we can create a website that is best designed to meet our stakeholders needs.

I would like to recognize all of our parents and staff who have served in our nation’s military and Coast Guard. We will be having a special recognition ceremony again on Friday, November 10th starting at 2:30pm. Please feel free to attend; veterans, community members and parents.

I would like to personally thank a number of different individuals and community partners for their generous donations of time and money towards different programs at our school.

• Faith Lutheran Church-Outdoor Ed financial support
• Echo Ridge at Metzler Ranch-Nutrition food services donation for students in need
• Costco-260 backpacks that were sent to Houston
• Geneil Aguilar-for organizing the Houston backpack drive to help students in need after hurricane Harvey
• Anonymous community members-for their generous donations of school supplies

● Our PTO for hosting the Rock Ridge Fund Run, saving thousands of dollars by not using a service
● Our amazing community who donated generously towards increasing our educational technology footprint

 “It takes a village”

Finally, remember to check the district website, call the district weather line (303.387.SNOW) or check with local news for school closures. Keep in mind that school begins at 8:30am so please do not drop your children off (especially the young ones) before 8:20am. The school does not have supervision for lineup prior to this time and thus, you could be placing your child at unnecessary risk. This is especially true if your children are not dressed properly for inclement weather. Our students go outside for recess when the weather is above 20 degrees so please plan accordingly.

Have a safe and wonderful break.

Sincerely, Peter Mosby, Principal
