● I know students who started at Rock Ridge as Kindies and are now in 4th grade.
How amazing it is to watch them grow up along with their parents.
-
● We love your kids and their parents and we love and support each other. When
one of us is in need, we are there for them.
-
● Our students are getting better at math, my favorite subject.
-
● I get to share my passion for archery with fifty kids this year during archery
club.
-
● Our building engineer, Richard Martinez. I love when he takes time to play his
guitar and sing for all of us in front of the school before school starts. Also, how
he is here at 5:00am when we have weather to make sure that the snow is
removed and ice melt is applied to make it safe for all of us.
-
● The front office staff who are there for everyone for anything and everything.
-
● All the staff members who volunteer their time to bring kickball club, book club,
Minecraft club, Green Team, Spanish Club, Pokeman club and more to our
students.
-
● Parents who make coming to work fun. i.e. Two moms dressed up as dinosaurs
and mock fighting in the front lobby on Halloween, high fives mixed in with the
kids at drop off, bonding moments as we wallow in our mutual disappointment
in Colorado State University’s football performance this year and so much more.
-
● The stories parents share with me. They are fun and sometimes really funny.
How many people can say they harvested a Thanksgiving turkey with their
truck? One of my parents can.
-
● Having an amazing Thanksgiving lunch created by Robin in the kitchen with
kids and parents every year.
-
● Throwing the football with a bunch of screaming 3rd graders, or 4th graders, or
5th graders or 6th graders.
-
● Mochas at car loop.
There are so many things that I am thankful for being the Principal at Rock Ridge
and this is only a taste. With Thanksgiving just around the corner and Christmas
shortly behind that this is a time to celebrate friends, family and what we are
thankful for. Thank you Rock Ridge community.
