Spring is finally here and we have had a busy month both behind us and in front. First off, I want to congratulate the following National Archery competitors that qualified and competed in Utah the last weekend in April:

Quinton Catbagan (Qualifier-Not pictured) Calleigh Keller
Dane Patterson
Nate Wygant

The competition was fierce with over 500 shooters present. In addition, Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be presenting

awards to these competitors as well as the rest of the 6th-8th grade team that took 2nd in the state competition. The awards will be presented on May 14th at 2:30pm. Please feel free to attend.

Archery club will be restarting in the fall and I am excited to see what kind of team we can put together for next years competition.

Next, the district recently had the Apple Awards, recognizing outstanding teachers and classified staff members. Our very own Richard Martinez and Tricia Bostwick represented Rock Ridge. Congratulations and thank you for all that you do for Rock Ridge and our students.

Do not forget that the Tri the Rock, a triathlon designed for kids, is on May 19th. This is a fun filled day for everyone. Check out more here, or the Town of Castle Rock website.

Thank you to everyone for another great year. I am proud to be the principal of Rock Ridge Elementary School and appreciate how we as a community and staff strive to better our students through the IB philosophy. Have a wonderful summer and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Principal, Rock Ridge Elementary
