Hello Rock Ridge and welcome back after a snowy spring break. The good news is that
when all this snow finally melts everything will be green and spring like.
The next few weeks will be busy as we begin CMAS testing. Due to the testing provider
and technical issues on their part, CMAS has been pushed back one week. To see the
updated schedule and other information regarding CMAS, please visit the
Rock Ridge website.
The wonderful ladies in the front office have requested that I share the following
reminders:
• Please remind your student(s) to remember to bring their own masks each day
to school.
• After school messages MUST be into the office by 3:00pm for us to distribute
them to the students prior to dismissal.
• ALL absences need to be called into the absence hotline (303.387.5152).
Thank you for helping us out with these items so that we can better serve you and your
children.
March is always associated with snow, spring break and the anticipation of spring. I
wanted to share some other interesting things about March that many people may not be
aware of:
• March 1, 1872 - Yellowstone becomes the U.S.'s first national park.
• March 1, 1932 - The Hoover Dam is completed.
• March 1, 1958 - U.S. launches Explorer I, its first satellite.
• March 1, 1961 - The U.S. Peace Corps was founded.
• March 31, 1889 - France’s Eifel Tower opens.
• In the Southern Hemisphere, March is the same as September in the Northern
Hemisphere.
• Each year March and June end on the same day of the week.
• It is the time of year when animals start waking up from hibernation.
Just some fun facts to share with your friends. Remember, we are learners at heart who
are always learning.
Thank you everyone for making Rock Ridge Elementary a great place to learn. Have a
wonderful month and stay warm.
Sincerely,
Peter Mosby
