Dear Rock Ridge Families,
Welcome back! In case you were at our clap-in event you may have noticed that I
made an error on the graduation year for our incoming kindergarten class. Instead of
2030 I should have said 2031! Wow. As a math major I expect more from myself ;-)
Anyway, it was wonderful seeing everyone again to kick off the year and with
amazing weather it was a huge success with lots of excited kids and families.
A new school year brings many opportunities including the opportunity to become
more involved with your neighborhood school. There are many ways you can be a
part of RRE, including joining our PTO, SAC (School Accountability Committee),
Watch Dogs, volunteering in the classroom, helping out with a club, or just
dropping by to have lunch with your kid(s). Please take the time to check your
calendars and make time to help make Rock Ridge a better place. It takes a Village.
With the new school year, we also have some important dates. Below please check
out what is upcoming in the near future so that you can be prepared and join us for
some fun! You can also find these events on the school calendar.
All parents and children are invited to attend our Meet and Greet PTO BBQ on
August 16th starting at 5:00 pm. RRE PTO will host the back to school barbecue
located on the basketball court. Food, drink and jumping castles will be supplied.
This is a FREE event. Thank you PTO!!!
Assessment Day will be August 28th. Assessment schedule is based on student last
name. Please have your child report to their class during his/her assigned times
as listed below. BASE will also be available for families needing extended care.
August 28tht-8:30-11:00. Last Names beginning with A-M.
August 28tht -1:00-3:30. Last Names beginning with N-Z.
